Solar pump yojana KUSUM (Kissan Urja Suraksha evam Uhaan Mahaabhiyan) promising to provide renewable solar energy for fulfilling irrigation and water problem to the farmers by providing a 60% subsidy to the farmer for setting up of pump sets and tube wells on their farm.




This solar pump scheme, which was announced by former finance minister Arun Jaitley during the Union Budget 2018-19. It all seats to deals with electric pumps used for irrigation across the country with solar energy have to spend only 10% of the total cost of solar power implanting. Rising of the KUSUM Yojana has to be giving benefit more than 3 crore farmers across the country.

How Farmers get benefit in KUSUM Yojana?

As per the scheme, farmers will get the subsidy on new and improved solar-powered pumps installation on farms. During the installation of the solar pump in farm farmer spend just 10% of the total cost. According to KUSUM scheme, 60% of the total cost is paid by the Central Government of India and the remaining 30% subsidy will be taken care of by the bank as credit.

How to apply for the KUSUM scheme

For the apply follow the online procedure. Farmers can easily apply to the KUSUM Yojana following the procedure.

  1. Login to the portal

Now you can log in to the portal with your reference phone number on the homepage of the portal.

After you logged have in the portal, you can fill out the online application for the KUSUM Yojana.

  1. Apply for the KUSUM Scheme

The Farmers have to click on the “Apply” button that is visible on the Homepage.

  1. Fill the registration form

Now the farmer will be taken to the registration page. The supplication form of KUSUM Yojana will be displayed on the screen. Now you need to enter following details required such as (Name, mobile number, Aadhar no., E-mail address, and other).

After the filling, correct details click on submit button complete the registration. And you receive the message and e-mail notification for the registration “Successfully Registration”.
